A self taught Artist from Northland New Zealand. I grew up drawing and creating things, its just in my blood to create and to want to make something beautiful out of nothing. I paint in oils, and also acrylics.
However It wasn’t until 2008 when I really took it seriously and started to find my own style, having my first solo exhibition ‘metamorphosis’ which was a great success. Since then I have gone on to have several exhibitions and have expanded to a clothing line ‘Jessie Rose’, jewellery and accessories, cards and calendars. I have had two boutique stores and currently have a store in Kamo, Whangarei.
After the death of a loved one in 2014 I now hand paints caskets and urns for Morris and Morris Funeral’s in Whangarei, Hart’s Funeral’s in Dargaville and Davis’ Funeral’s in Auckland. Giving families a option of feminine hand painted caskets in 4 designs and now a unisex casket design also.
2017 I opened ‘inspire’ from my premises in Kamo, Whangarei, inspire is an after school art school for children 5-17 and also adults. Teaching individuals to develop their creative thinking and confidence, and encouraging individuality through art.
On a personal level – I have a 17yr old daughter and live in Whangarei.
