It is often said that the story of our future is a collection of all our individual stories. At House of Wonder we believe in the power of one, and an individuals ability to make a significant difference in the world.
However we believe in something even greater. And that is a great many individuals coming to together to pursue one single great story. House of Wonder has brought together many different people, yet we all live to make a significant difference in lives of the children and families we serve. Together we are wanting to break out of the 'status quo' and pursue lofty ideals which continually push the boundaries of what is possible in early childhood education. Ultimately we would love to see a world where there is redefinition of the 'village,' a place filled with love for each other as we share the awesome responsibility of raising our children together.
The genesis of House of Wonder exploded into being when two shining stars collided. Both Katie and Andrew, as well as Rick, spent their first 10 years in Early Childhood Education relentlessly working towards improving the quality in the sector. Early in 2018 an opportunity was provided where they could work together to develop a new model that would draw on all their experience in order to continue innovating in the sector. House of Wonder was born.
House of Wonder aims to bring their approach to as many different parts of New Zealand as possible. They currently have plans for 4 more new centres by the start of 2019.
